LUKEWARM MARKET
What is Your Lukewarm Market?
Your lukewarm market are either those from your past of those whom you consider acquaintances. You may not have their phone number.
Scenario 1: You bump into someone whom you would love on your team
Lead them to asking you what you do by first asking them what they are up to. After they ask you what you are up to say something like:
"I just started my own business!" They will now ask you what your business is. Answer something like:
At this point they will ask you how. Say something like:
"I would be happy to get together over a coffee/lunch and share. Now's not a good time because I'm (say something that you are running to) but it would be great to get together. I would love to connect with you and hear about (say something about their life) and share with you what I do. What works better for you, ______ or ______?"
Important: At this point get their phone number! Many people chose not to give out their business cards so that the prospect can't look up Arbonne and make a decision before meeting. If they just want to give you an email say: "Since sometimes emails go to junk, what's your phone number, in case?"
Scenario 2: You meet someone at a business meeting for your "JOB"
Start up a conversation and say:
"While [your job] is my job, I'm building my fortune with my part time gig."
After they ask you what your part time gig is say:
"I'd be happy to share with you. When works better for you to chat over coffee, ______ or ______?"
Important: At this point get their phone number! At this point get their phone number! Many people chose not to give out their business cards so that the prospect can't look up Arbonne and make a decision before meeting. If they just want to give you an email say: "Since sometimes emails go to junk, what's your phone number, in case?"
Scenario 3: You bump into someone whom you don't want on your team but whom you think would like Arbonne's products and whom may be able to connect you with possible prospects.
Lead them to asking you what you do by first asking them what they are up to. After they ask you what you are up to say something like:
"I just started my own business!" They will now ask you what your business is. Answer something like:
Add: "Are you open to trying them? I would be happy to drop them off so you can try them and see if you like them."
Get their phone number. If you decide to give your business card, make sure they know that you will show them how to get 20% to 80% off the products.
Then do the Drop & Tell.
Scenario 4: You call someone from your lukewarm market
Say: "Hi Viv, this is Amanda. Do you have a quick minute?” (Pause) “Great! The reason I’m calling is I recently started a business and am building a team. You are (give positive adjectives here) and I would love you on my team. Are you open to hearing what I do?"
If they ask you what it is say: "Let's meet for a coffee so I can give you all the details so that you have enough information to see if it's a fit for you. That way we get to see each other too. It would be great to see you!"
If they hesitate say: "Can you say no to me?" When they answer "Yes" add: "Good then say no to me after you know what you're saying no to. What works better for you, ______ or _______?"
For Someone with Whom You Have Lost Touch
A) Call to set up lunch to simply reconnect. Don't mention Arbonne. At lunch ask lots of questions to see if Arbonne may be a fit. For example, ask if they enjoy their job, if they are happy in their life, if they wish they could stay at home with their kids, if they are bored being a stay-at-home-mom etc. At some point in the conversation say something like: "I just started my own business and you might find it could be a fit for your life. It would be fun to work with you!" When they ask you what it is say: "I don't want to talk business today. I really just want to catch up with you. But let's set a time to get together again and I'll give you all the details so you can make an informed decision. It will also be great to see you again! What works better for you, ______ or _______?"
OR
B) Say "You and I haven't spoken in years and I'm calling for a business reason but first I want to hear about how you are." After a couple of minutes say: "So here's the deal. I started a global health and wellness business. I'm in expansion mode. I thought of you because you were .......... (i.e. my favourite professor - full of life, positive, hard working) I'd love you to hear what I'm up to because I'd love to work with you if you want to build a substantial secondary income. Or if that's not where you are in your life, you may know someone just like you who might be interested. . When are you available to meet for a coffee, ______ or _______?"
You find someone from your past on Facebook who you would love on your team
Send them the following Facebook message: "Hi! It's been a long time! I have a question for you. What's your number?" Write nothing more.
Then follow the script from Scenario 4.
Telephone Tag?
If the prospect won't call you back keep calling until they do. On a message say something like: "I'm getting worried about you! I've left you a few messages and haven't heard back. I figure either you are just really busy, something has happened to you, or you are upset with me about something. I hope you're just busy but please let me know so I can stop worrying!"
When someone keeps saying "no" to meeting you
Say: I don't think you understand this business. If you meet me tonight I will never talk to you about Arbonne again. ENVP Sheila Greene said no 10 months in a row! Do not give up!!
Asking for Referrals
1) Think of successful people in your life who will not want to join your team but who can refer people to you, such as a wealthy uncle. Say:
"I recently became an entrepreneur. You are one of the smartest people I know. Can I ask you for some advice?"
When they say yes, set up a meeting at which you will go over the DA and then say:
"Now for the advice. As I mentioned, I am now in personal expansion mode. I am looking for smart, savvy, motivated, and hard working professional leaders in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia, with discipline who know that having multiple streams of income is critical. Who want to own their own business to create a 6-7 figure income alongside their current career, passions and other commitment. I'm looking for someone tired of trading time for money. Maybe someone worried about being downsized. Maybe someone coming out of college who wants choices in their life who doesn't know if there will be a job for them. Maybe someone looking for balance in their life. Or someone who may have retired early but is still seeking personal and professional satisfaction. What advice can you give me to find such people and who do you know who fits my criteria?"
If a meeting isn't possible with this person you can say over the phone:
"I've built a business with a 35 year old comp that has only been in Canada for 8 years that is driven by the internet in the health and wellness industry. And I am now in serious expansion mode. The business model is multi level marketing which is highly endorsed by Warren Buffet. It's already the 3rd largest network marketing company in Canada with staggering growth each year since its inception. It's number 36 in the world but it's only in 5 countries and the top 35 are already global. Plus it has less than 3% brand awareness. Right now it's in Canada, the US, the UK, Australia and Poland. It will be going into Taiwan in the first quarter of 2016 and then Korea. The commodity meets all trends of today in the health and wellness sector. Pure, safe, green, vegan, cruelty free, prestige personal care products and nutritional products. And the products are cutting-edge with the number 1 anti-aging line on the market, which the baby boomers who set the trends in the market are all looking for."
Now ask for the same advice you would have asked had you been able to set up a meeting with them.
2) Think of contacts who live in a different city/country. Say:
"I'm looking to expand my business into [their city] and you are the only person I know who lives there. Who can you introduce me to who might be wanting to earn an additional stream of income within theri busy lives?"
Note: This person very well might say themselves!
